About
With a journalistic background in international relations, a vision for the eye-catching, and always looking to tell a story, I have a passion for showing unique perspectives.
The majority of my videos are on my channel SchilkeSmooth and Yle News, but I am always open to new collaborations and opportunities.
I was born in New Jersey in the United States and went to American University in Washington DC. After university, I moved to Finland for military service and now work as a journalist for the Finnish Public Broadcaster Yle. At the same time, I am getting my Master’s in Global Politics and Communication from the University of Helsinki.
When not making videos, writing or working on my thesis, I play and coach ultimate frisbee.
Projects
Video production, research, scripting, editing, animation and hosting. But more than comfortable filling whatever role is needed.
